Tonawanda Dog Park Petition "Being that the city of Tonawanda currently has no area for dogs to go, exercise, play and socialize, our goal in signing this petition is to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. We, the citizens of the city and surrounding area would like to develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. We are viewing this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Tonawanda NY, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. Where, not only the dogs, but also the people of the city can socialize and enjoy yet another attraction within the city limits. We also hope to encourage dog events like a frisbee catch to come to the new park, which may help offset any of the costs involved with the upkeep of the area."
